CancerHelp UK is a free cancer information service brought to you by Cancer Research UK. The information is clearly written, with all medical terms explained. More than 25 major cancers are included, with sections covering symptoms, causes, diagnosis and treatment. 'About Cancer' explains what cancer is and how it grows. There is information on more than 45 cancer drugs and their side effects. 'Cancer Tests' tells you about a range of diagnostic tests, including what to do beforehand and how you will feel afterwards. 'Living with Cancer' tells you who can help, about counselling and about complementary therapies. There are sections on finance, insurance and other money matters. There is a large question and answer section on the site. You can email your questions to us and Cancer Research UK's team of Cancer Information Nurses will reply to you personally.
CancerHelp UK also has a database of UK clinical trials and a section that clearly explains all about trials. The database contains information that is particularly tailored to the needs of patients, with information on side effects and details of hospital visits required for each trial.
